Swapping digiboxes - just swap card ?

Hi guys just wondering can you help me on this one. I have a really slow pace digibox and was looking at a few auctions on ebay for panasonic and sony boxes. Do I just swap them over and put my viewing card in and i'm back watching again or is it not that simple ?
Any help would be appreciated.............

Each digibox is 'married' to a card. You would have to get Sky involved to match your card up with your new box.

Should be no problem, just ring them up with the viewing card number and away you go...
