Surround sound

Having trouble getting surround sound out of my sky box,new set up.what have i done wrong?got comp leads and 2rca's it was working yesterday but i've been fiddling to set it up and now can't get it,what have i done?where should the 2rca's go,as they don't seem to be doing anything.

to get 5.1 surround you need to use the digital out on the sky box to the digital in on your amp (TOS Link) you also need to set the sound to dolby d in the optical settings in sound set up on teh sky box. I think using the rca will only give stereo

and then you'll only get it on films output in dolby d

Sorry, but that's total rubbish ! Dolby Surround can be extracted from a stereo feed. You only need a digital connection for Dolby Digital

Leodom, if you could tell us what you are connecting your Sky box to (Make/model of TV, and type of cables you're using, e.g. scart, s-video, composite video), we can try to help you more.
