hi
i have an uncle living in manchester now for some years, and he would like to be able to get the irish satellite stations (RTE1, RTE2, TV3 and TG4).

he has a UK skybox and subscription, but would happily cancell it if he could get the irish stations.

does any one know how to do this. or if it possible?
any advice appreciated .

so, is it literally as easy as

1)cancel sky in uk.
2)order a sky card for an irish address, stating that you allready have a sky box.
3)bring card to uk and use it

is it that easy? great if it is , my uncle will be delighted..

There is a step 4.

When you get the card you have to phone Sky to activate the card, they will ask you for the serial number of your box so you can pair the card and box.
Make sure to block your number when you phone Sky to do this so they don't see you are in Manchester.

A couple of other things.

You will not get UTV, ITV1,2,3,4 or Channel 5 and some other channels on your EPG.
The only BBC 1 and 2 versions available are the Northern Ireland ones.

These can be tuned in on 'other channels' but you will not be able to record them using Sky+.
