Dish size for MBC 7W - 8PSK

Hi All,

Looking for some info as to roughly what dish size would give solid reception for MBC channels on 7W(I live on Anglesey). According to Lyngsat a signal of 7.9 c/n is required to lock the signal on the 12322 V 27500 FEC 3/4 8PSK channel.

Thanks

Thats' the ones on 7.3w not 7w... .& the other dvb-s2 stuff on that sat such as Jsc hd etc. have the same issues & all other sats afaiaa because the problem is pretty universal - just nudge off a dvb-s2 channel on 28e & see the c. 20-30% higher lock point compared to most dvb-s channels .. Dubai Sports HD on 26e/badr4 on the other hand is HD on a dvb-s tp but has a LOWER breakup.

For parity (with dvb-s of the same power) it looks like c. +20-30% on area- not always an option at that level (TD1.1 to CM 1.2 = +20% on area).

There are also the MBC dvb-S channels on 7w Nilesat (11938v27500 3/4) - they can have a very similar breakup point or slightly better to the dvb-s2 versions depending on location, even though they are lower power overall.
