Re: NO SKY or FREESAT IN THIS FORUM

Can you please explain where a poster who want's information about the relative merits of say a Generic FTA HD PVR, A Sky HD pvr and a Freesat pvr is supposed to post ?. Some guidelines would be appreciated as it's not really possible to split these into neat little boxes especially when the source broadcasting data is the same.

Re: NO SKY or FREESAT IN THIS FORUM

There are exceptions to every rule so I might leave it here. In a couple of cases where two of the systems were involved I copied them to both. My note was aimed more at those who actually put Sky or Freesat in their thread title! Mods are meant to make the decisions, but if there's any dispute I'll always listen and settle it as best as possible.

There are exceptions, but generally a little thought and common sense by those who post (what are) obvious Sky threads in this section is all that's being asked for.
Just look at the number of moved threads on the opening page ATM

The references to those redirected threads have now been removed, and any future misplaced and moved threads will not have a redirect left in here. Logiciel.

If you will forgive me that's a cop out. Why can't you put together some simple guidelines for example where would you expect a poster asking about replacing a sky box with a freesat box to post ?

Using that particular example, the main subject is Freesat i.e. discussing the the various points of Freesat vs Sky as the poster already has Sky and considering switching to Freesat.
That's only my opinion and interpretation of course but, I feel, it would be in keeping with the overall guideline NO SKY or FREESAT IN THIS FORUM

I prefer thought and common sense by the poster to guidelines but see post #3, and the principle that the buck stops at the mods.
