Hi. You can get a 15m cable for a lot less than that.

Re: HDMI extender/booster

The 10m lead is already chipped into the wall. Did this when i was renovating the house but needed 15m. Am looking for the cheapest option that gives the best results. Do the less expensive ones work ? dont really want to lay out alot of cash !!!

Re: HDMI extender/booster

Yes, there's no point in paying a lot. Come to think of it though - if you get a picture at all with the two existing cables connected then you couldn't get a better picture any other way - it's digital so it either works or it doesn't - there's nothing in between.

Can you test it with the receiver and the TV - or another TV - linked by a very short HDMI cable?

Thats what i'm going to try @ the weekend. Its a 50" plasma so too heavy for the mrs to help get down. have been reading about similar problems. The thing is, on bbc Hd and itv hd the picture is awesome. But std itv is so much poorer than freeview. The freevie picture is really good. Spent £250 on the humax box so surely it should be better than my £20 freeview box

also some channels are better than others. They all seem to be @ 576i although the the box supports 1080i, 720p, 576p. Is this a simple fact that i have wasted my money and the satations are simply being broadcast at a poor quality than freeview. I read about bit rates and bandwidths alot with regards to freesat and that that is the case. Although i do not fully understand.
