Hi guys

Just wanted a bit of help plz,My m8 has had 3 sky+HD boxes installed couple months ago & the independent installers fitted a 8way LNB & a standard dish, now that we are starting to have bad weather the signal is dropping on all boxes,Now all boxes are between 40 to 150metres away from the dish so could this have anything to do with signal issues He asked me if getting a bigger dish & changing the LNB would increase the signal??

150m is a long way for satellite signal.

100m @ 2050Mhz would lose 30dB signal, its not common to have much more than 50, from what i recall.

I would suspect the alignment of the dish is wrong somehow, but a zone 2 (60cm) dish sounds like it would help, but the bigger the better!

it helps if you attach all the cables first, then line up the dish to count for the sag of the arm because of the weight of the cables too

Get the people back out as you will be in your guarantee (12 months) if it was done recently.
