Tom Tom map detail question

Hi,

I've just bought a Tomtom 920T which has maps of Western & Central Europe on it, does anyone know if the map available to buy 'Great Britain & the Republic of Ireland' would contain more detail for the uk ?

Thanks
Steve

Re: Tom Tom map detail question

I'm using the same maps, I think (v675). I also have the GB and Major Roads of Western Europe maps (v650) and as far as I can tell the UK maps have the same level of detail.

Re: Tom Tom map detail question

I have no help at all on this one but have a question,is there any way to tell a TT's age?
I reciently bought a V2 TT one on ebay buy have yet to update it,how long do the updates last?
I have read a couple of horror stories of failed updates.
It is just done through TT home application?

Re: Tom Tom map detail question

I have a Tomtom 300. The information was held on an SD card. I created a folder on my computer and stuck everything in the SD card originally on my PC. Then I updated it all. I have had problems with updating but formating the card and copying everything back across sorted it. Now I have a much larger SD card in there and finally updated everything okay and have lots of alternative voices and map colours to choose from as well.
