Walkers GPS software

Hi guys
my mobile phone has built in GPS receiver and Tom Tom road software which works great
it does not work for walking and hill climbing etc

what I would like to know is what software packages are available for walkers - that can basically lead me to grid co-ordinates etc on a mountainside

after trawling the internet for a couple of nights I seem to think that
memory maps could be the choice???
any one advise me as to wether its any good - or what else is on offer
obviously would want something that is compatible with my Orbit 2 phone

Memory maps is one of choise matey if you are going to use it for walking.
Links up to your PC too!

Check around on the forums, i love it for walking.
