Exclamation Tom Tom 710 - messy cables?

Hi all, I'm a complete newbie when it comes to Sat Nav and am thinking of getting the 710 but am unclear as to what cables I'm going to have dangling from my windscreen; I hate cables about the place.... if it has a battery and the only thing I wish to connect to it is my phone via Bluetooth, do I only need a cable showing to power it up when the battery's low?

Thanks in advance for advice on this.

Well theres only one cable (the power one) and you only need that when on low battery. You get 4 hours out of your tomtom usually so you will only need the lead plugged in for journeys over that amount of time.

I personally wouldn't have any cables permanently installed... if a thief sees them, you don't need me to tell you what may happen.

Excellent, don't need any thief-attracting cables on show the whole time then!

I am very concious about the crime element being attracted to the tomtom so im always really careful. I wipe the windscreen with a chamois sponge after detaching the cradle (theives look for the tell tale ring to see if you are using a tomtom) and also just have the wire loose so I can pop it under the seat when ive removed the tomtom or when its fully charged.
