Updated Honda CRV DVD disc failed

I have a 2003 Honda CrV which has the alpine dvd sat honda sat nav system installed. The disc is the 2.01 version (also says 221006 on the disc). I have bought a second hand but genuine honda newer disc 2.05 but when I change over the discs, the screen goes blank and its even difficult to get the disc out. Do these two discs run off two different operating systems or have I bought a duff disc. Any advise gratefully received.
