PDA/Smartphone Satnavs with Speed Trap warning

I'm looking for a decent Satnav with Britain and Ireland maps that also offers warning of fixed camera locations. Anyone know of a good one that'll run on a PDA/Windows Smartphone?

Cheers,

Gav

Have a look at http://www.tomtom.com/products/index.php

You get free speed traps (which are very accurate) but then you do have to subscribe for updates. Happily using on my Windows Mobile 5 PDA but they also produce a version for smartphones to and TOMTOMV6 has only recently been released so latest maps and traps!

I'd use TomTom Mobile or Copilot but their both pretty expensive.

If you looking for a cheaper one i'd try http://www.cameraware.net/

It was free but I seem to remember they started charging for this, it doesn't do maps but it does everything else your after.

Re: PDA/Smartphone Satnavs with Speed Trap warning

I have an old Orange SPV500 that I use for sat nav only. I've managed to find TomTom Mobile on the net for nuffink and bought a bluetooth GPS off Ebay for £36. Works like a charm. I use the safety camera (they aren't speed cameras you know ) database from pocketgpsworld seems to work fine You get a loud beep from it about 200 yards before the camera. So plenty of time to slow down.

The TomTom I have is V5, it's not perfect, but it does the job.
