tomtom one v2 or Garmin 350

Hi folks,
Can any one tell me good or bad things about tomtom1 v2 europe and Garmin nuvi 350. Totally new to sat navs. I've found somewhere that does them both for roughly the same price (global positioning systems). I know the 350 is a higher spec but the 1 v2 is getting great reviews!
HELP!!! i'm pulling my hair out. which is the best/most reliable.

Cheers.
