Tom Tom Navigator 6 Software only + Single City Map

Don't know why you can't download + buy just the tom tom software and a single city map eg.. london/paris/manchester as some people don't need whole maps of the UK..., Recently got a new phone with GPS built it but no software and only really need the map of london, I know if you buy a HP 6915 you get tom tom + a city map of your choice why don't they sell the software like that, Instead of paying £70 for a memory card with the whole UK map + Software, why not offer a download of the software and a city map of your choice for £35-£40.. seems reasonable, they will save on the fact that no cd needs to be manufactured as well as box/instructions..., they just need to pay for the bandwidth to host the software + maps...


As far as I know no company offers this service, so why doesn't Tom Tom since they claim that they always have new ideas, why not this then?..

They already have the maps hosted online so they just need to host the software..

It's to make money pure and simple. For my Symbian UIQ3 P990I, I need to buy the DVD containing the TomTom 6 software and the WHOLE of Western Europe on it for MORE then the memory card, around £80!! All I want is TomTom 6 and the UK, can't be done though.
