new edition tomtom one help

hi guys i brought the new tom tom one edition from dixons for £144

my quesiton is this , im going up to old trafford on sunday and i dont have a car cig lighter(i knw dumb !) , how long does the battery last , and can i use the usb cable to charge the battery as i dont have home charger

also im planning on turning it off during my journey as there is a 1hour nonstop drive no point in turning it on, so when i turn the tomtom one on during the journey will it still carry on taking me to old trafford

also are there any ways i can cut dwn the battery use , would turning down the light be good?

please help guys thanks

Hi - the manual says that the battery lasts for 2 hours (I haven't tested for >than an hour), and the usb does charge the unit.

oh, and yes it will remember where you were going when you turned it off, so fine for turning it off for an hour and then back on.
