TomTom 910 problem

Had my 910 for a few days now. Just got it out to plan a journey for tomorrow and it won't switch on! Battery is fully charged before anyone asks... any ideas?

Re: TomTom 910 problem

If you look in at the back just above the metal contacts you will see a small semi-circle, at the bottom is the reset button. You will need something like a needle to press the button.

Hope this helps.

I see it... just!

Would pressing the reset button work even when the unit is off such as mine? Doesn't this just reset the unit when it's on and in a 'freeze' state?

The easy way is try it! Wont do no harm.

How do you know the battery is fully charged if the unit wont switch on? Merely charging it does not imply it is charged.

FYI energising the unit requires the ON button to be held down for at least 2 secs for it to turn on and then wait some for it to come alive.

Well the unit was fully charged when I last used it on Saturday evening. I put it away in it's pouch on Saturday night and hadn't used it until last night when I tried switching it on to plan a route in advance... I can't believe the battery would of lost it's charge within 48 hrs. ??

Edit... just done a reset and it now works as normal, so problem solved - hopefully!

Thanks guys.
