Re: Tom tom one v2 battery prob ?

Oh god i hope this doesnt happen to mine.
I bought it last week (yes thats right when they were £199.99 and now theyre £144.99 ) Anyway ive used the battery , bought a home charger and charged it up although after about 12 hours it still shows a green light on top so presumed it had charged.

Switched it on and it shows full battery bar. That's as far as ive got, hope it doesn't go flat straight away like what happened to you guys.
If it does i'l be back!

Cheers

Jon

When it was new out of the box was the battery fully charged? If so it should last much longer than 1 week being idle.

That is the odd thing, out of the box it was almost fully charged.

Re: Tom tom one v2 battery prob ?

mine isnt having the problems as first described in this post although i do find the battery doesnt last as long as expected.

I'm getting roughly 4 - 5 hours out of a fully charged battery which can be a pain when on the move as it means unplugging my road angel to charge it!

I'm going to have to invest in one of those double ciggy lighter thingys so i can have both running but that becomes a pain having both big bplugs hooked upto it

The recommended life is just 2hrs!!! You should be well happy the 10 series doesn't last any longer.

Re: Tom tom one v2 battery prob ?

Going back to original problem with the battery drain when it is turned off I think I may have found solution.

Switch the Tomtom on and push the reset button with a pin, the Tomtom will reboot then keep it switched on until the battery completely discharges then recharge the battery. I did this a few days ago and it seems to be holding its charge.

The battery life when it is switched on can be extended by turning off the Bluetooth connection and reducing the screen brightness.
