Hmm have tried ebay??

I just got the new Audi one from there sealed for £25 instead of £175.

Or if you are really struggling bit torrent, kazaa etc.

The DVD discs will need a dual layer burner, the pioneer 108 will do and that is only around £50.
All the european discs are out there.

It would help if you find out who makes your disc, it will be either navteq or teleatlas, then you can search for that, far more of them about than trying to find a manufacturer specific disc.
Oh and look out for TMC too as this will give you traffic info too, very useful.

Nav CD Honda CRV

I also have a Honda CRV Sat Nav - I recently opened the Nav display up and found that it was in fact a Alpine DVD Head unit - hence I assume that anything that works on the Alpine Sat Nav DVD unit should work on the Honda.

Regards
Jay

I have emailed both Navteq and Teleatlas to find out whether they do the disc for the Honda Unit. Both websites are worth a look and list pretty well every other manufacturer at abot £90 - £135 per disc.

All the nav systems will play back-ups that I have had so far.
And they are all floating round out there ready to get.

Birdview Sat Nav

Hi Everyone
New to this site. I have an Hitachi Xanavi Birdview Sat Nav System. Recently removed from my van and wishing to install in new van. On removal noticed a few wires weren't connected, probably why remote didn't work right. Does anyone have a wiring diagram, user manuals which they could copy and email me or have any contact details where I can get this info including updated map cd. Would greatly appreciate the help. Have done numerous searches and on the verge of throwing it in the bin. [email removed-moderator]Hope someone out there can help
Brian

Re: Sourcing Sat Nav DVD Discs?

Found them on ebay for £20, version 2.07, my old one was version 2.00 in my '04 CRV. New disk works great, dealer wanted £250, what a joke.

Re: Sourcing Sat Nav DVD Discs?

I called my Honda dealer to see when the latest CR-V Navigation System DVD discs are out. I was told around Feb/March time my main concern which I would like to know before I spend £190. Do the newer versions use postcode to postcode. Or are they still street to street. My software, which is quite old, is V1.03.

Re: Sourcing Sat Nav DVD Discs?

Hi, I have 2003 CRV that uses version 2.02. Iam not bothered about the very latest version although it would be nice, I just want to upgrade to a more recent version. How do I know what versions are compatible? Fed up with driving over fields and roads that don't exist!
