Best U.K. Europe, U.S.A mapped system?

Hi, New to sat nav ownership. What is best system to include U.K. Europe, and U.S.A. maps? Not interested in "Go live" regular subscriptions types.

Or would it be better to buy U.K. Europe sat. nav. with U.S. map add on?

Re: Best U.K. Europe, U.S.A mapped system?

I had the same requirements as I live in Germany and travel regularly around Europe, to UK and USA. I bought a Tomtom GO 920...came with all the maps I needed already installed.

Personally I like the TT units, but some do not. Map upgrades can be expensive and their customer service is no existent. But I do like the devices themselves and find the user interface very intuitive.

Thanks for helpful reply. I have purchased the TT930. £241 from Handtec.co.uk. Exactly what I was looking for. Once again thanks for help.
