Lololol! It's all sorted now! The whole issue was that I was using Symbian ROM Flashing Tool 1.52 instead of the 1.50 Cheers for all your help though! ^_^

IG2 installed at last! Interface feels a bit smoother but not enough to compensate for my gripe! Ah well, at least the audio codec is fixed!

Re: Samsung i8910 (Omnia HD)

Can anyone help me.

I have debranded the phone to the italian firmware, but now when I try to update it to IG2 (latest firmware) using Samsung PC Studio 7, I get a message stating:
"The connection between the phone and PC has been updated"

UPDATE: Fixed the problem, the phone requires a sim to be inserted, when attempting to update.

The same thing kept happening to me and then crashed halfway through. i flashed my handset to the italian version again. then i remove all of the Samsung software from my PC inc the samsung usb drivers and the usb drivers for the flashing software via uninstall programs. i also removed the samsung folder within program files. I started all over again with a fresh install of PC studio 7. the 1st update didn't work, but then i rebooted my PC tried again and it worked..

Supposedly SmartMovie 4.10 is meant to work but it didn't on mine. I haven't tried it since debranding so perhaps there's a chance it will work. You can download a 30 day trial. Just Google it.

Coreplayer is the king of pocket media players and hopefully it will be with us very soon.

Coreplayer will be released for S60v5, but it's a waiting game. I'm using it for audio only (which is brill quality) but the graphics are all over the place.
They quoted a release in "summer" but who knows ......

Just go to m.fring.com and download it via WAP. It should download without trouble. Working fine on mine too.

On some deals you get 500mb data a month. Is that enough, how much time will I be able to spend on the internet?

I want to know where the bloody AccuWeather widget has gone! And the Google one for that matter! You can't even find them in the MoreWidgets2 widget! Very annoying!

I don't think you can do this. Don't forget, we are using an Italian firmware. We will have to wait until the proper UK version is released. Personally, this doesn't bother me in the slightest as I much prefer to have the aac codec in place.

The Accuweather widget I thought was rubbish. It kept on reverting back to London for me and it just plain didn't work sometimes. Again, I wouldn't beat myself up too much about this because the firmware is supposed to be for Italy.

Google widget gone as well? I also can't upload photos to Facebook! Feel like I'm not getting the worth out of this phone

Re: Samsung i8910 (Omnia HD)

Yeah the lack of "wanting to use the web" on the samsung and the lack of apps that are hassle free is what is leading me to returning mine and sticking with the n97 which has been solid as a rock since the new firmware for me anyways
