my mate has a broken D900i and he wanting the photo's etc from his phone (his screen isn't working)

he's gave me his data cable,i've plugged it into my pc (win 7) and it's installed the driver from the phone.but how do get his document s?

i've installed samsung pc manager but that couldn't find the phone plugged into my pc.
i tried it using my xp netbook but that caused a blue screen on it.
how can i get the photo's ??

i rechecked the samsung website today and found that a new pc software for samsung mobiles is available.
the new software found the phone ok but i need the sim for the phone to connect.
