Hey, I have a Samsung Gravity 2. I cannot use any internet-requiring apps on this phone. I have talked to T-Mobile about this, I have talked to Samsung about this, neither has been any help. T-Mobile put some effort into it. Samsung... hung up on me. Several times.
Mainly, I'm trying to use google maps, mgmaps, eBuddy, and similar apps on this phone. Mainly, some kind of free GPS and some kind of multi messaging tool.
I have the $20/month unlimited data/txting plan.
Every app I use that needs the net acts like I said it can't have access. However, I never get an allow/deny prompt of any kind. This happens to everyone on this phone. Some people have managed a work-around, it has not worked for me. So I thought I'd turn to the pros.
What I've tried so far:
Step 4 from this thread:
Application Installation Guide (somebody sticky)
Pretty much everything in this thread:
Trouble w/Google Maps Mobile App - Samsung Gravity 2â„¢ - T-Mobile Forums
When I hit "Run TCK," it brings up the Web2Go browser, but nothing happens. If I let it sit long enough, it says, "Connection failed. Try again?" After that, the next java app I use disappears after use.
I've tried these so many different ways and in so many different orders, I don't even remember. I may have done something out of order.
But I want to be able to use net apps on my phone, dangit! Can anyone help me?
