Music Manager in Samsung PC Studio 7

Hi. A bit long winded this and I apologise.

I have a couple of questions I'm hoping someone on here can help with. A number of things have happened at the same time that's resulted in me getting a new i8910, namely my contract ending and my ipod screen cracking.

Despite having a Samsung Soul for the last 18 months I never bothered with the music management aspect of the Samsung Studio 3 I had on my comp.

However now I want to use the new phone for all my music so here's what I did earlier today.

Made sure my itunes back up folder was up to date.
Imported music from itunes back up into Music Manager (PC Studio 7)
Realised after an age that I need to transfer music from
the "all music" tab to "my collection" in order to do anything with it
Clicked edit/select all then "copy to my collection"
Stopped the process after a while and couldn't believe only 20odd songs had transferred.
Selected a 4 minute track and timed it's transfer at approx 23 seconds, can this be right.
Bit the bullet and decided to let the transfer run over night (3200 ish tracks is gonna be over 18 hours).
After a few hours went to check progress but I couldn't so stopped it and only 28 songs transfered.
Tried to transfer 1 track but though it appears under my collection it is not in bold type and I can't play it. But I can play it under the "all music" tab

Over the years I have only ever used itunes for any music management so either it is very good, Samsungs PC studio is very poor, I'm very stupid, or, hopefully, a combination of the above.

What can I do to transfer music onto my phone quickly and simply, I've had absolutely no problem transfering video.

I have other questions regarding the use of a touch screen phone as this is my first but I'll save them for now.

Thanks for getting this far
