i was just wondering how you go about downloading and installing a newer windows mobile on this device i am currently running windows mobile 6.1 professional any tips are most appreciated im also on the vodafone network.

Unfortunately, there is no way of doing this to my knowledge.

I don't beleive that Microsoft offer this and I am certain that Vodafone do not have a way of doing it.

Head over to i900 / General Omnia ROM Discussion - WinMo @ MoDaCo

There are a heap of 'custom' ROMS which typically include Windows Mobile 6.5 and also a better GUI (PointSense, TouchFlo, SPB, etc). There is a risk of making a brick of your phone but just be sure to follow instructions given.

I'm now on my 3rd ROM and looking for a fourth.
