New PC Studio Frustration

Unhappy New PC Studio Frustration
I have a samsung tocco lite phone G-S5230

I've installed the New PC Studio on my laptop (windows XP)which I understand is the only way to transfer photos from my mobile to my laptop

When using the communicator section of the PC studio and clicking on 'search devices' it recognises my phone. So I click on the phone to connect and a screen pops up saying loading...

It's been loading for 30 minutes now and I've almost fell asleep...

Can anyone help ASAP?

have you tried the latest version of New PC Studio 3.1?
Support - Software & Manuals - PC Studio 3.1 - Samsung Mobile
uninstall the one installed.
