samsung s8300

ive just got the s8300 good phone apart from the main display text which shows the network on the main screen.my prob is that when i put my own pic as a background the text covers it. is there anyway to move the actual text like on the older sammys as this is quite annoying looked everywhere but cant find an answer thanks

yeah, thats what i did and it worked fine... mine says Vodafone in a small box, and i just dragged it into my widgets side bar...

must be then... i'd have thought the widgets would all work roughly the same though - but obviously not.

well touch the right hand screen and a white slider appears but doesnt seem to do anything

i'm confused now - on my phone, i can drag the vodafone box into the widget side bar, (when its open...)
