my sky is using rgb scart.

Re: Calibrating TV for sky digi

Your Harman Kardon DVD22 looks to have an RGB scart socket so why not use this to feed the DVE signal to the input on the plasma that your Sky+ is hooked up to. This should get your settings for brightness, contrast, colour saturation etc. close to optimum. I then tend to use actual real video material from the Sky+ to iron out the differences between the ideals of DVE and what the Sky box is actually delivering.

Re: Calibrating TV for sky digi

Your plasma surely has separate setting memories for component and RGB scart inputs? Cailbrate the scart input with a temporary scart connection from the DVD player. Reconnect Sky to the scart input and tweak your settings. Connect the DVD player to the component input and calibrate again for this input.

Re: Calibrating TV for sky digi

doh yeah lol, well ill calibrate the 360 using dve (component) then tweak the settings using the dvd players settings with dve being run on that via component (for dvd watching) then connect dvd player up to my rgb scart and adjust tv for that!
