Room setup

I need some advice on speaker placement.

I'm planning on getting some small form speakers (e.g. Mission M-cube) and as it's a smallish room I had planned on positioning these as per attached image.

The four corner speakers would be placed below the ceiling (just under 7 foot) and the center speaker on the tv cabinet.

Will this sound ok with the speakers high up on the walls?
Thanks.

Re: Room setup

not ideal, you want the speakers to be evenly spaced if possible, the front ones and your listening position should be a triangle.

there is an excellent link to dolby or thx somewhere on here that gives excellent advice..

Re: Room setup

Found the Dolby diagram here:

I think I'll move the centre speaker, and have the others tilted towards the main seating area.

Thanks.
