new setup and positioning, need a bit of advice

Hi,

i have recently been bitten by the isual and audio bug.....

8 months ago i bought a panasonic 50" plasma, love it the quality is just fantastic.... now i thought how can i improve on the sound....

well this is where i have got a little confused and lost my way a bit and im looking for some advice. my lounge is not the best place or shape for a 5.1 surround sound system, never mind i couldnt help myself.. so i purchased the following...

onkyo tx-sr607 av reciever
jamo a102 surround system 5.1

now please can look at the picture and you will see where i have the pictures, looking for advice on the positioning. the subwoofer is behind the tv. not really sure how to set it up really, what settings on the subwoofer i need to have and.

my main use will be to watch films from my panasonic hdd recorder which is connect to the av reciever via component for video and digital optical for sound. and games which would either be xbox360 connected via hdmi or the ps3 also connected via hdmi.

i just wanted to try and get the wife on board and possible in time get a little more serious, perhaps build a cinema room. i just need her onboard and im looking to the people here for general setup hint to get the best sound possible

i have attached some pictures that will hopefully help see where i need to alter.

thanks alot

Re: new Sub setup and positioning, needs a bit of advice??

hi,

im not really sure can you suggest the best forum so i will attract the right people as iam asking for general setup information about my whole setup..

there are so many catergories, im really not sure... perhaps cinema diy catergory...

thanks alot and sorry for messing you around, i have been reading so much and theres a lot to take in what it comes to understanding all the different aspects of the hardware that makes up the final solution.

thanks
