If I have too much Green in my Greyscale?

Rookie beginner question alert!!!
I've read that I should leave green alone when doing a greyscale calibration and adjust the Red and Blue. However if a display has too much green across the board then should I ignore this and drop the green or should I follow this and boost the blues and red's to compensate?

I'd try the red and blue apporach first. Only because if you adjust green it will have a more profound effect on overall luminance..and you may have to adjust contrast again...of course with many devices you can't adust red up as it's already maxed out....in which case hit the green
