I wasn't sure where to post this but I'm sure here will be fine.

I've dabbled with DIY bass traps, diffusers etc before, I destroyed them all though due to lack of use and lack of storage space.

Anyway, I want to DIY some 'budget' yet attractive looking room acoustic modifiers.

Diffusers - Will be made from wood, simple really.

Bass Traps - Hopefully wont need them but loft insulation worked well, just need a good material to cover them in? I just used some dust sheets from B&Q before worked a treat though.

I want to make some nice acoustic panels though. I'd like to use a material that I can print photographs on yet obviously still be a good material to do what it's supposed to do! Any ideas? (I'm a photographer, see, so I have a few images I'd like to use.)

Ah, thanks! I only noticed this one later on as I had minimised some parts of the forum. I tried deleting the thread but couldn't find the option.

I found some places that do the panels with your own image for, well, around the same price as a canvas print.. I was surprised at that to be honest.

there are a few companies that do digital printing to fabric, some is good, such as camira, but its not cheap, some is really cheap, but with the cheapness comes the lack of quality - ink bleed and lack of detail being 2 of the biggest problems. Try and get samples, but also try and avoid companies that make you buy 2 at a time...

if you want to do it yourself, you will need a large format printer, and suitable fabrics..
