how to do video calibration

hi i went to a shop the other day asking if they sold a video calibration software or something i can calibrate my tv picture with, he said look in wh smith

the store was home cinema store in romford, essex, so go there if you want them kind of answers to any questions you want to ask

but i thought this place would be an excellent place to ask, i have a 37" LG tv, i think the model number is lg375000 or lg375020

i have not changed anything in picture settings or anything since i got it, is it worth changing the picture on the tv? like, calibrating the picture?

i have the thought that calibrating the picture on a tv gives you a much better picture than before, so if i can get a better picture than what i have already got that would be awesome

i have no idea what steps to take though

can anyone help

by the way i did look at that LG event, but i dont have that kind of money and its too far to travel for me unfortunately, would love to go though
