Joe Kane Productions

I would contact them for suggestions..
Those filters have been specifically designed for color tempreture IMO
Getting the wrong filters could throw your claibration out IMO..

I compared the result of DVE colour filters to the result using a calibrated spectrophotometer. There was a significant difference between what the filter indicated as "accurate" and what the data from the measurement indicated as accurate. I believe the age and display tech can also affect the filters.

AFAIK the filters use the TV's "colour" control which typically does more to primary/secondary luminace that adjusting the colour gamut (although there can be interaction) and may be a pretty inaccurate method.

The THX Optimizer Glasses will do the same job as the DVE Filter, although ofcourse they are blue only.

http://www.costore.com/THX/producten...=87&pid=930793

The result won't be accurate though as it will likely give you a value that is too high.

If you are a Pioneer KURO Plasma owner, a tip is to reduce the value by 4 from what the Filter gives you. This should get you a nearer accurate setting.

If you are a KRP M owner a filter is not required at all because the panel has a 'Blue Only Mode'. It can be found at 'Home Menu> Picture> Pro Adjust> Blue Only Mode'.

I presume that the KRP As are identical in this respect but am unsure about the LXs.

The KRP A's don't have the Blue Only mode.

Not sure about the LX series.
