Soundproof Solid Wooden Flooring

Hello

I am trying to soundproof my bedroom floor from airborne and impact noise
It is a wooden floor upon beams with a chipboard surface for the room below.
Idealy i wouldn't have to fit a floating floor or lift any floor boards.
I have been looking into underlays, and sounproofing tiles for example the quietfloor plus.
I am having a carpet finish so the unseeing eye is none the wiser

Re: Soundproof Solid Wooden Flooring

Have a look at Isomass Acoustic Flooring Systems or Reduc flooring, both similar in construction and price.

Carpet and Pad will help the most with impact noise from your side of the floor.

Simple mass would help with the airborne sound. Like an extra heavy carpet pad. You might consider Mass Loaded Vinyl. I would not see the benefit to material that is any more exotic than MLV. And you can lift it up to expose the hardwood in the future.
