does anyone else notice this?

does anyone else notice that most (80%) of the music tracks on dvd and blu-ray movies all seem to play primarily out the right front speaker ? is this just me ? i've calibrated my system many times EVERY speaker is perfectly at 75db and it's bugging me that its not right. It sounds so off. are the movies made like this or am i going nuts? i need a resolution ASAP please

Just you, seems you have a goblin in your system, no MUSIC primarily comes out of the front right speaker, unless you are saying they come out of the front speakers...

I would recalibrate, or you have an issue....

Fantastic
i've calibrated like 4 times in the last week and done everything i've been told to. Whats a good dvd or scene of a movie that has music equally coming out of the fronts for me to test ?

Re: does anyone else notice this?

That is a hard one, rather than using a movie, try a test disc, or even the THX sound calibrator available on all of Lucas' movies, ie Star Wars series etc..
I know your a little upset, but this is really the only way, I would try some white noise for balance checks, you could also have 1 speaker out of Phase.
Make sure both speakers are red to red, black to black on the speaker connections, or there of in colors...
Positive to positive, and negative to negative...
Lack of bass ould be your prob from the left...
Hope this helps, stay cool and just work through it..
Simple things normally are the answers to our frustrations...

Re: does anyone else notice this?

Nps, just be cool, there is an issue with either polarity, or amp problem, as music is stereo basically for movies with some rear aural ambiance if this makes sense..
You should not be getting more in the right channel than in the left..
To prove a point, get a music DVD as see how it reacts with your system..

Re: does anyone else notice this?

i tried a music dvd last night sounded ok but not perfect, i dont get how with the white noise test tones i used on my receiver (denon 2808) to calibrate it sounds all good and even and all are 75db but when i listen to something its different maybe it is my ears ? its definately not polarity because during the Audysey set up with the mic it checks for that and its sweet and cables are all colour coded and im not that stupid lol

Re: does anyone else notice this?

I know your not stupid (well I don't yet ), but things do happen with color coded wiring..

Hmm I still would use the THX calibrated source from DVD as I suggested, as that will be your white noise from the player, not the amp, and you will see if anything is awry from there...

Re: does anyone else notice this?

how are the speakers laid out, are they the same distance away from reflective surfaces or is the right speaker closer to a wall?
