SPL Meter in Leeds

Hi everyone

Hope your all having a good weekend.

Does anyone in the Leeds area have an SPL meter they could pop over with and show me how to use. I want to calibrate the levels on each of my speakers as im finding it hard to do by ear with the test sound the amp makes. My fronts are considerably bigger than my rears I think the best way to do it is with an SPL meter but they seem expensive & I cant afford to do this at the moment. I have just sorted out the positions of the rears based on advice from this forum.

Ill throw in a few beers as well for your troubles.

Thank you.
Richard.

Re: SPL Meter in Leeds

The Radio Shack SPL meter is considered one of the best for the job at the price , its very cheap.

7-Range Analog Sound Level Meter: Amazon.co.uk: Electronics & Photo

There is a more expensive digital version , dont be tempted , the analog display is much easier to use when doing the job that you have in mind.
