There was a 6 month wait between the US and our RB1 versions, and it doesnt look like thats gonna be the case this time, so nothing to say a release anouncement will follow the plan. If you remember, the rest of Europe and PS3/PS2/Wii owners had something ludicrous like a 5 day announcement before it was in stores!
I'd certainly be a happy bunny with a 5 day announcement, but as long as its November I aint too bothered. I'll be using the GH kit on RB till its sequel, so will be able to sit patiently. I'd still rather a date now though, calm the nerves a bit!

Just in case anyone stumbles across the RB2 theme and gamer pics on live, dont bother wasting your points they suck, the gamer pics are just the instruments in horrible orange (see my current gamercard), and the theme is four coloured blades of that wierd tattoo art they seem to have going on all over thier website.
I did a bit of an impluse buy thinking "it cant be that bad", turns out it can

I think the new dashboard update on nov 19th lets you preview themes.

There is a podcast interview with Sean from Harmonix and in answer to a question about the AC/DC expansion in Europe he says that there will be 'announcement s'(plural!) within about a week. It is about 23:30 minutes in. http://x3ffdf.wordpress.com/2008/10/...-from-harmonix
The twenty dlc are from lesser known bands apparently.

TBA 2008!!! I mean come on, just freaking announce it already, we 99% know its next month, and if they announce a release date for a track pack, why not announce this as well!! How annoying are this company!! Also, still no official release date for GH4 it seems!! Man, what is it with rhythm games!! |

In the IGN list there are two entries for Rock Band 2. Solus and a 'special edition'. Does this mean that you can buy the game and instruments in one package this time, like GH:WT?
I'm probably just getting the disc for RB2 though since I prefer GH guitar and am probably getting an Ion kit.
Anyway it looks 90%+ likely for a November release and going by HMXSean's evasive answer in the podcast we should hear within two weeks. Eurogamer are also holding an expo at the end of the month where EA are one of the attendees. By Halloween all should be revealed. I wish these companies would stop faffing around and announce already!
Edit: Amazon France are listing 18th (21st equivalent in UK). http://www.amazon.fr/Electronic-Arts...897437&sr=1-11

Man, what is it with rhythm games!! | I went into Gamestation to preorder GH4 and they said its November 7th too. That's what pretty much everywhere is reporting so I'm guessing there will be no official announcment. I also asked if they had a release date for RB2, just out of curiosity...they said November 21st!
