Your earliest recollection of a multiple game character

Another day, another thread

Earliest recollection of a multiple game character

1) Person, creature or thing must have appeared in more than one game (obviously)
2) Person, creature or thing must be identifiable with a name

So if you arrived late on the gaming scene, all you sonic and mario fans can rejoice, you can brag about them here.

Mine :-

I'm sure there was something/someone earlier but i can't for the life of me remember who/what it was, therefore i'm going for sir arthur pendragon who starred in 4 ultimate play the game titles from the commodore 64 and yes i played and completed them all.

Staff of karnath (1984)
Entombed (1984)
Dragonskulle (1985)
Blackwyche (1985)

Characters mentioned so far include the following :-

Alex kidd (Alex Kidd in Miracle World, Monster world etc)
Axel (Streets of rage series)
Bounty bob (Bounty bob strikes back, Miner 2049er)
Bub and Bob (Rainbow islands, Bubble bobble etc)
Cool spot (cool spot, cool spot 3d etc)
Dizzy (Treasure island, Magic land etc)
Ecco (Ecco 1, Ecco jr etc)
Horace (Hungry Horace, Horace Goes Skiing etc)
Mario (A lot)
Monty Mole (Wanted monty mole, impossamole etc)
Roland (Roland on the ropes, Roland in the caves etc)
Sir arthur pendragon (Entombed, Blackwyche etc)
Thing (Thing on a spring, Thing Bounces Back etc)
Willy (Jet set willy, manic miner etc)

Brilliant !

For me the there are two that stick out the most:

Willy as in Manic Miner, Jet Set Willy and Jet Set Willy II

Jet Set Willy - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Horace as in Hungry Horace, Horace Goes Skiing and Horace and the Spiders

Horace series - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

On the contrary the original versions maybe but thanks to the retro remake thread, most people who have browsed it would have been reminded, if you haven't already have a look here :-

Roland on the ropes remake

Funnily enough all the characters/games posted so far have received remade updated pc versions in one form or another, only my arthur pendragon series hasn't been attempted yet, surely he's a prime candidate now!

How about a different Sir Arthur, this time from Ghosts 'N Goblins and Ghouls 'n Ghosts.

Also Clyde Radcliffe star of Creatures (Clyde Radcliffe Exterminates All The Unfriendly Repulsive Earth-ridden Slime) and Creatures II: Torture Trouble.

Re: Your earliest recollection of a multiple game character

Just dug out the old master system to have a smash on Alex the Kid and what did I come across in the cartridge slot but Wonderboy! He can jump, throw hammers, skateboard..... What a guy!!!
Wonderboy is one of the 1st coin ops I remember shovelling 20p's into. He featured in loads of games, one of my faves being Wonderboy in Monsterland?? or something like that.
