I like the Saturn one, simply because like the console itself, it looks cobbled together at the last minute.
The whole release of the Saturn was cobbled together at the last minute, from the later stages of the design of the console, through to the marketing, release numbers onto the market, games that came with the initial release, simply to try and steal a march on Sony who came out of nowhere with the Playstation.
There's a bit in it about 8 processors etc, thats because when they developed it they didn't put enough processor speed in it to handle top end 3D graphics, then when they (Sega) saw the playstation early 3D demos, I think it was the ones of the T Rex demo here:

the Sega people realised the Saturn couldn't compete in the 3D stakes (the Saturn was meant to be a primarily 2D machine in its early design and development with 3D a bolt on). So what do the Sega lot do, just threw a few more processors in it at the last minute of development to boost its 3D capabilities, cobble the machine and marketing together, try and steal a march on Sony.
I read in an article that the Chairman of Sega thought the Saturn was way ahead of Nintendo, by 2 years or so, and not realising what Sony was up to, thought the Saturn was going to wipe the floor with the market, at the later stages of the development of the Saturn he caught sight of the Playstation and the T Rex demo, realised the Saturn was crap by comparison, went down to the Saturn development, and called them a bunch of 'you know whats'.
So the development dept just chucked a few more processors into it at last minute, never mind the cost or the internal architecture, just chuck a few processors in, hence the Saturn was a bit bulky.
The effect was with loads of complicated processors to work with, all cobbled together, no one could program it
