Considering the classic remake threads with download links have been on site for a good year now, i'm surprised i ain't posted this earlier, but hey better late than never.

So what's still being worked on and what can we look forward to playing on our pc in 2009?, i'll add more later.

I think some of these will jog more than the odd memory, remember these are in game video of the remade pc versions and obviously not the originals.

Here's a few of those crackers, more to be added soon :-

AHHHHH Ruff n Tumble, one of ma fave Amiga games ever =D

I would love Apidya and Bubba 'n' Stix to be released too ^_^

Craig.

Apidya already has a remake posted here :- http://www.avforums.com/forums/6388136-post54.html (There may be a later version available now though)

Bubba 'n' Stix oh yes a classic i loved that game, no remake of that available yet though.

There's a load of other classics posted in the remake threads, *see bottom of the first post*.

Knight Lore remake looks impressive, any idea when it will be released?

I suppose it is better to wait a while and get an awesome version, rather then having it rushed ^_^.

They don't make games like this anymore...

Craig.

oh my god, I loved myth. used to play it on my c64 and my cousins amstrad.
Will be playing this when it's ready. cheers for that. I can't seem to see the piccies tho, maybe I'll try again when I get home from work

Some great remakes on this thread. :)

For those of you who like the look of the "MYTH" remake (seen in the 1st post),
you may be interested to hear that the same guys are now also remaking ARMALYTE.

Interestingly, this will be an "official" remake (the IP owner has given his OK)
and also a commercial release. (ie it'll come in a proper box, with nice artwork)

You can read about it on the official Psytronik blog.
And if you want much more detail, here's my interview about Armalyte PC with the 3 devs.

It won't be ready for quite a while, but I'm hoping when it DOES come out,
they'll finally get back to working on their Stunt Car Racer remake.

Kick Off 2 has to be the most famous remake though ? (don't know how to post links etc)

Awesome! Loved Myth on the Speccy somay have to dabble with that.

Also Stunt Car racer looks great! I wonder if there's support for the G25 or other wheels? Now that really would be something .

Yay another commodore 64 classic is being worked on and it's a biggie, the last ninja is getting a fanmade remake by non other than retro remake graphics guru smila, can't wait but it may take a good while and while we're on the subject whoever does the music may have lot to live up to (it's one of the best soundtracks of all time) and their hands full. :D

For those of you waiting for the Armalyte remake, I've just finished playing my review copy,
and should have a comprehensive review up in the next week or so. Sneak preview... 'it rocks'! :smashin:

Latest news: Armalyte PC is coming out in April.

Ok, as promised..

Armalyte for PC: First online review. (Link)

To try to capture the feel of the new graphics... I've made a few 6-screen panoramas.

I've also linked to the PC demo, if you want to give that a spin.
If you're a Mac user, the SAS team have said they'd consider a Mac port.
