My ever growing Retro collection

Currently on a quest to purchase every megadrive game also have a few Intellivision, Master System, Mega CD and 32x.

No retro room should be without a copy of the 1982 Video Game World Champions.

Unfortunately my office is not large enough to house my Mame cab which is banished to the spare bedroom.

Re: My ever growing Retro collection

Nice!!!!! Love the collection. I never tire of checking out collections. I have quite the collection myself - 670 games at the moment. Alas I have no room for them all until I move house which is on the cards soon. I keep getting tempted by these collection photos to lug everything into one room and set it up but I will hold off for now. Nice work!

Can you explain what the arcade photo is? The one with all the people in it. Thanks.

Re the photo.

Back when computer games first started out Life Magazine assembled the best in the US for a cover shoot, they then had a playoff afterwards.

There is a film based off that photo where they look at each of the champions and then see where they are now.

Chasing Ghosts: Beyond the Arcade (2007)

Another on the same subject matter: -

The King of Kong (2007)

Watch them, they are awesome!!

Watched both of those films now and enjoyed them! Quite funny at times, painful other times and just plain weird too! "Don't Get Chumpatized!" Steve Wiebe seems one hell of a nice guy!
