Best console version of DOOM, to run on PSP...

I fancy playing the excellent doom on my PSP, I have MegaDrive and SNES emulators, I am willing to down load others.

What was the best console version of doom, I only every play the PC and GBA version.

I have a feeling the Jaguar had a highly regarded version, but that isn't a console easy to emulate, is it?

I may search for some direct to PSP versions. Oh and wide screen would be nice

For an emulated version have a gander at the megadrive 32x vs snes versions here

YouTube - DooM SNES vs 32x

And if you have the original game files doom 1, 2 etc and want to run them on psp (double clicking link in top corner)

YouTube - Doom Legacy second update PSP

By the way i have no psp, maybe someone could elaborate on these.

Just get the doom 1&2 pack for the PS1, knocks the socks off the snes version.

Re: Best console version of DOOM, to run on PSP...

When I bought my 3DO a few years ago I got Doom with it. I had been spoilt with the PC version originally and I was horrified at the postage stamp 3DO screen size. I sold it for over £40 on Ebay.

I don't know why but I always liked Wolfenstein 3D more than Doom. I bought it for my PS3 recently. Still good fun to re-visit.
