Where to get a PAL Dreamcast modified for multiregion play?

Hey, I have a PAL Dreamcast and lots of Japanese and American games in my collection. I have been using a DC-X disk to load them but would like to do away with having to put the DC-X disk in first. Essentially I want my Dreamcast to be multiregion.

Is there anywhere or anyone that offers a reasonably priced modification service for the Dreamcast? I'm happy to send of the machine to be modded but would like to hear from you guys if you know of anywhere that can do it for me.
Cheers!

Don't know, but you can just download the games and burn em, just like every other Dreamcast owner (myself excluded)

Lots of the ripped game have to be changed to fit on a standard cd, Skies of Arcadia springs to mind, plus it's much nicer to have the originals.

Thanks for the replies but I'm only really interested in playing genuine games, and I have a pretty big collection as it is

Me too, I have a fairly large collection. I stick with boot discs but agree a multi-region machine would be much more convenient.

I'll hunt down the hex file for the chip and will be able to sort you out if still needed.

Re: Where to get a PAL Dreamcast modified for multiregion play?

Well that was easy,

Got the chip source code and also the files to be burnt to CD so region can be changed at will.

Will also let Pal games run at full speed.

Hi

Yes mate was for you and anyone else interested.

Simple chip mod.

Will enable backups (although your not interested) and also multi region game play.

If you (or anyone else) want it doing I will order the blank PICS to put the code on,

Regards

Consolegoods.co.uk :: Nintendo 64 :: SNES :: Sega Saturn :: Neo Geo :: Dreamcast :: Mega Drive :: NES :: Super Famicom :: modified consoles :: controllers :: scart cables sell the chips but I've never used the site before so i'd google it first
