Retro gamers social group created

Well the site didn't have one so i thought i'd take the plunge, now we could do with a few members

I opened two threads for now, the first of which is a suggestion thread and i'd welcome any suggestions there.

The other is a remake thread , though it won't contain anything already posted in here, i would like to use that thread for the discussion of stuff already posted here and other completed remakes with hopefully more frequent posting of discussion rather than links which is what occurs in here.

Anyway if you'd like to join and everyone is welcome, the group is Here

Expand the retro section.......

Re: Retro gamers social group created

Added another thread to the Retro gamers social group, which i felt didn't really belong in the main site retro section, it contains links to classic (amiga and commodore 64 so far) games that have been remade, however they are Nintendo Ds homebrew titles, so if you have a Ds and the capacity to run homebrew on it you could do far worse than to check the thread out.

Other threads will be created soon, i'd like it to be an extension of this main Retro section, maybe including offers of help and assistance running or configuring various pieces of retro goodness that have already been posted here. What i definitely don't want is a duplicate of this retro section, for the moment i have plenty of ideas but little time atm.

*Edit* I've incorporated another column in the Retro remake combined game list, Retro gamers champ you will need to verify your high score for user name inclusion here, the official thread for this is situated Here and posts elsewhere will not be included sorry.

There's also a Retro gamers : monthly ultimate remake challenge Here these challenges will be hard but will result in permanent status as Retro gamers champ for that particular game, hopefully this will create a bit of competition.

Oh and we still need some members

Re: Retro gamers social group created

I added 5 new games to the ds remake thread, this thread is a strange beast as it doesn't really belong in retro gaming (hence me not posting here) and includes remakes of retro titles for the nintendo ds.

Obviously you do need the capacity to run homebrew on your ds in order to use them, i have posted a few titles in the nintendo section but they will get lost in amongst the other posts as there is no separate thread for them to go in and no way of making one that would feasibly be relevant.

The complete thread which includes all the titles will remain for now in the Retro gamers social group and includes some true classics, dragons lair (arcade), chaos (spectrum) and starquake (commodore 64) amongst them, hopefully the thread will get more views.

Did i forget to mention this group is now temporary home to any newly posted retro game remake links, whilst i completely update the Retro Clones/Remakes - Combined Games List?

Community/social groups/Retro gamers

Nope damn right i didn't, completely slipped my mind with age my memory sucks lately

Any game remake links that would have previously been posted in the Classic commodore 64 game remakes, Classic spectrum remakes and Classic amiga pd games amongst others will now be added in here instead for the past/next month or too.

If you want to grab those now check it out, or wait a month or two until i complete the updates and they'll be added to the retro section combined games list eventually.
