A final goodbye, and some (much needed) food for thought..

Think of this as a goodbye note, it's my own interpretation of some interesting transcript I found here.

Everyone knows that the reason we burn trolls, is because they are made of wood.

Everyone knows that carbon is heavier than wood, because wood floats, and carbon sinks.

So, the Question:

How can we tell if a troll is really made of wood, and is, therefore, a troll?

(Clue: we don't build a bridge out of them.)

The Answer:

Bear in mind that wood is not the only thing that floats!
As well as bread, apples, very small rocks, Cider, gravy and Cherries (and mud), DUCKS also float on water!

So, logically speaking.......

If... a troll weighs the same as a duck... it's made of wood........and is therefore.....

A Troll!

and conversely.... If a troll weighs more than a duck, it can't be made of wood, so it must be made of carbon, and therefore it can't be a troll.

Am I right with that?

I'd suggest that in order to get a true answer here, we also need to use our largest pair of scales.

Isn't wood carbon based?

Trolls are also carbon based.(allegedly)
