As in title, mysterious disappearance of posts from here. No note from Mods so am assuming some board level problem.
Comment already in Forum Feedback but thought this worth posting here in case it is localised to this forum and others have experienced unexplained losses.

Good spot. I did a load last night when I got in between 00.15 am and about 2 am, all of which I think have survived. But of the set I did this morning between about 11.30 and 12.15 only one has survived.

My losses were of greater age than that, although the timing of the loss events seems close to your experience. Looks like people need to have a good look.
Mods, any problems ?

I lost a few that Stuart deemed 'unnecessary' comments. Nothing I object to.

Merely obseved that it would be a bit less active for a week without njp. I would have thought that could also have been taken as regret that he would not be around.

I do see a bit more latitude for njp than he allows to some of us.

Stephen

Your criticisms of njp do you no favours at all. Unless you are a subtle troll you have nothing to fear form njp's responses except greater understanding.

It is very easy for a troll to cause exasperation in those who know something of a subject. When the learned forum member responds to the troll it is easy to interpret the most straight forward response as aggressive or personal. In fact this is standard troll behaviour when faced with someone who can damage the troll's own credibility. The troll appeals for sympathy to the mods and the more bloodyminded forum members to dismiss the learned forum member. Or tries to damage to the member's position in the forum hierarchy by use of mockery. You see this every single day on Usenet. And here on occasions. The subtle troll is just as dangerous as the uneducated moon landing/MMGW denialist.

Fortunately the trolls have a much harder life where moderation is intelligent and fair.

njp is one of the very few, who post here, who obviously knows something about the subject matter of this forum. If he is frustrated by endlessly responding to the deliberately ignorant or educationally challenged then let's give him a bit of extra leeway.

looking back through your post history there is nothing mysterious at all but a number of threads have been deleted as "off topic" and they contained posts by yourself. It would seem that the hack that sends people notification of deletions / edits is a bit flaky at the moment
