BBC reports growth in US rebewables.

It seems that despite the best efforts of "Burning" Bush to avoid a man-made rescue of the planet parts of the USA are going it alone.

Thanks to pressure from strict rules in California rapid progress is being made in thin-film, flexible solar cells.

While resistant forces moan about CO2 reduction rules there are real jobs in high tech manufacturing at home.

I'll let you read the good news for yourselves.

Please, please, please don't believe that what the BBC says is fact.
Times have changed.
They tow the Government line.
As they always have.

Just to humour me, what is it, in that BBC article, that you consider to be inaccurate? Are you saying that California is not leading the charge in renewable energy research, and that the BBC are lying to us, and indeed that our own government would like to deceive us into believing that California is innovating, for some political reason? I'm confused.

Wow NJP,
You are coming out with those very convaluted foreign words again.

I also watch NBC,FoxNews,CNN,Algezeera,Russia Today,China TV,FR1,and many other news feeds.
So i think i can see most countrys propaganda slants.
Whats your background?

Pah. I sneaked "floccinaucinihilipilification" into a post here the other day and nobody so much as batted an eyelid.

I just like pointing out logical contradictions, especially when they are seperated by only a single sentence.

Wow, those "convaluted" words are so well, foreign, aren't they?

What are they teaching our children in school nowadays? In my day... lapses into Graham Chapman voice...

I have it on good authority that the BBC is run by lizard aliens in human form (the same as the royal family). Tony Blair was actually a robot, constructed by these aliens, and "Golden" Brown is a shape-shifting ape. George Bush is an amoeba (actually, that one IS true)

This isn't reality, it's all a dream and we are, in fact, asleep.... hey wait a minute, what a good plot line for a movie......

My local BBC did a report about guide dogs for the blind, recently.... I'm with Toy Collector on this one... it's all lies, the guide dogs are government spies who are secretly watching us... TRUST NO ONE! THE TRUTH IS OUT THERE!

In politics, to "tow" the government line, feels more appropriate.

It wasn't the spelling. It's entirely the wrong word, and a very common error. I very rarely draw attention to spelling mistakes in a forum such as this.

Re: BBC reports growth in US rebewables.

Arnold Schwarzenegger is leading the way he is not A born American He is Australian I believe. BBC is only relaying the Info that we Americans knew for at least the last year and 1/2 about USA move forward in regards to curbing emissions. We even have a large group of city mayors working together without federal government leadership because "Burning Bush" won't do anything.

Arnold has converted his hummer to alternatives. He is leading the way on hydrogen pipeline along the west coast as well. these things are actually happening and in the works. If Arnold had been born American I would probably vote for him as president for his efforts of green movement.

Now this is more than a spelling error . Arnie is Austrian, from near Graz (a beautiful city if you get the chance to go there), hence the accent.

(Just a FYI, it doesn't really matter.)

"G'day mate... Oil be back!"

"I vont an M60, 9mm Uzi, oh and a big knife... call that a knife... THIS is a knife"

"Come viz me if you vont to live, Shiela!"
