China, not the global pariah that it is so often claimed to be.

Just for the record, the next time someone comes along and says what is the point of efficiency and green energy when China doesn't give a damn.

Refer them to this

Quote:
Vestas chief executive, Ditlev Engel, told the BBC World Service: "If you look at China in particular they have made a tremendous commitment to developing this type of energy."

"Last year China invested nearly $40bn into the clean energy sector which is twice the amount of number two, which was the United States.
Just a bit of a shame about the company name:

China Guangdong Nuclear Wind Power.

Great. That'll help offset their huge coal-fired power station building program, which increases their emissions by one Australia per year for the next 25 years.

China apparently doesn't buy into the global warming scam.

One of the great lies told us by our political leaders in order to persuade us to accept their swingeing and pointless green taxes and their economically suicidal, environmentally vandalistic wind-farm building programmes is that if we don’t do it China will. Apparently, just waiting to be grabbed out there are these glittering, golden prizes marked “Green jobs” and “Green technologies” – and if only we can get there before those scary, mysterious Chinese do, well, maybe the West will enjoy just a few more years of economic hegemony before the BRICs nations thwack us into the long grass.
Well, no doubting where he stands

No doubting where I stand either

Another thing that the west doesn't realize is that the Chinese single child policy has slowed the projected population growth of the world by up to 200 million, this in itself would be one of the single biggest contributions to preserving global resources - thats 10 + Australias less than would otherwise have been thanks to Chinese policy. The biggest hypocrites by far remain the Americans with a mere 5% of the world population creating the biggest share of the worlds pollution....

When you have one halve of the political movement in America (allegedly) spreading lies to their members about the religious faith of their President then you are asking a lot for them as a nation to understand about their impact on the wider world
