| Any one any experience with Therma Wrap?
Its like 4mm thick and boasts that it is the equivalent 55mm of Polystyrene. Actually the general purpose VS the Loft stuff is this: General purpose : 1m x 7m Loft :600mm X 7.5m GENERAL PURPOSE:
# Floor - Equivalent to approx 150mm quilt insulation
# Wall Lining - Thermal resistance 1.455M2K/W (equivalent to 65mm of Polystyrene)
# Achieves Class 1 surface spread of flame tested to BS 47 Part 7
# CFC & HCFC Free
# Thickness 4mm
LOFT:
# Roof Thermal resistance total 1.393M2K/W (equivalent to 55mm of Polystyrene)
# Achieves Class 1 surface spread of flame tested to BS 476 Part 7
# CFC & HCFC Free
# Thickness 4mm
So, what Im getting from this is that its the same material, likely, but it performs slightly different depending where you put it. The question is, is it any good in the LOFT???
Any one have any experience? My Loft is quite cold as is my home in the winter so any thing will have an effect but its expensive.Homebase is going a deal atm: BOGOF= £26.98 / 2 = £13.49 each.
How does this compare to say space blankets?
thanks.
