Harmony 880 and lack of Fasttext buttons. Advice needed

I hope someone can help.

I have a mate in the States who can get me a Harmony 880 for $99.(US version of 885). Which is obviously very tempting.

Just wondered if anyone has an 880 or 885 and can help make my mind up.

The only problem that I see is the lack of Fasttext buttons and I would be cheesed off if you had to still use the Sky remote, just for this. However, I wasn't sure if there was a way round this? eg assign other buttons for this task.

Thanks in advance for any advice.

You will be able to map commands to existing buttons, hard or soft.

You can get the 885 in the UK for £99 so you have to decide if $99 + P&P is worth it?

i'm presuming that's via amazon US, they wouldn't ship it direct to the UK anyways.

He is coming over in a couple of weeks, so I would be able to avoid postage and customs etc.

Could you put the coloured buttons up on the LCD screen and map the hard buttons by the side of the screen then? As you could with a Pronto.

On the One the colours come up automatically as virtual buttons on the screen so the 880 probably does the same thing.

I've heard good things about them, so for £50 I don't think we can go too far wrong.

Good luck
